If you’ve only seen children playing video games or watching TV, then this video is surely going to surprise you.
Watch this video where a group of talented kids are playing the guitar together (those guitars are actually bigger than they are), and they do have talent.
These kids are from North Korea, and actually its good to see them play the guitar, as most children in Asia usually begin learning to play musical instruments such as piano and violin.
Though there’s no doubt these kids are talented and they deserve an applause, they have also worked really hard at it. So if you want your toddler to play the guitar, make him/her spend time with the guitar more often.
Toddler Playing Guitar: Amazing Video
Though most of the guitars that we have discussed here on this website are for toddlers, you do get guitars with strings (and with a shorter scale length) that can be used by slightly grownup kids.
To be able to press the strings comfortably and to be able to strum and play songs, one needs to have comparatively stronger fingers which usually happens by the time a child is around 6-7 years.
But then there are definitely some cases (exceptions) where kids do start playing a bit earlier.
Here’s a video that shows a toddler playing a stringed-guitar. The boy seems to be around 2 and a half to three years of age.
Though not very smooth on the guitar, he definitely seems to have fairly developed fingers for his age.
Toddler Sings and Plays Guitar on BEATLES
Most parents have this question “What is the right age for kids to start guitar”?
Playing a guitar with strings would require developed motor skills which means the child has to be around 6 to 8 years, however you can always start early on some of the toy guitars.
There are some exceptions though where kids start early, provided there’s someone at home who already knows how to play the guitar.
Here’s a video where you have a toddler singing and playing the guitar (with his Dad) on the BEATLES “Don’t Let Me Down”.
There’s no doubt that this kid has talent! But if you’ve a child who’s of a similar age and not yet ready to play the guitar, there’s no reason to worry; let them take their own time.
