Introduction
Casio is a popular manufacturer of portable electronic keyboards and digital pianos (their portable pianos are quite popular), but they also manufacture a lot of accessories for their keyboards. More and more buyers are now opting for their keyboard and piano accessories, such as sustain pedals.
While you can always use a piano pedal from some other manufacturer, there is this issue of polarity (Casio keyboards are generally made with the opposite polarity of most brands) which you need to consider. Certain pedals from other brands may not work properly on a Casio.
So to be on to the safer side, you may buy a Casio piano pedal as it would definitely work with any model of casio keyboard/piano.
Casio makes sustain pedals, both in the foot-switch design as well as the traditional piano-style pedal.

Casio SP-3 / Casio SP-3R (Box Style Pedal)
[easyazon_link identifier=”B00070E8I8″ locale=”US” tag=”keytarhq04-20″ cart=”n”][/easyazon_link]Casio SP-3 is a simple box type foot switch sustain pedal, that easily attaches to your keyboard for easier playability. If you have a Casio keyboard and want an inexpensive but functional sustain pedal to go along with it, you can use this pedal.
This is an inexpensive sustain pedal and a good one to buy, if this is going to be your first pedal and you just want to see how a pedal works with your keyboard. Good first pedal for beginner keyboard players.
There is another model Casio SP-3R which is almost similar to this one (seems to be made for different markets).
The SP-3R works with most popular models of Casio — CTX, CTK, LK and WK keyboards, and enables you to get more realistic piano sounds by giving you the ability to sustain each note or chord.
Its a box style pedal, so it’s not going to stay firm as a piano style pedal. However, its available for cheap and allows beginners to get a feel of how a sustain pedal works. Overall, a decent product that does the job, is suited to most beginners, and is available at a great price.

This is a three pedal attachment that is used to adds those extra piano dynamics while playing the Piano.
This system adds an extended damper function which simulates a pedal that has been pressed down half way (half-pedaling). If you own one of the top-end Casio pianos, make sure you get this one to enhance your overall piano playing experience.

More on Casio Piano Pedals
The best thing about using these piano pedals is that they are made by Casio itself, and these will definitely work with your Casio keyboards & piano.
If you have an old damper pedal (from a different make) and plug it into a Casio keyboard, it could make your notes sound slightly staccato, in which case you need to reverse the polarity of the attached pedal. If it doesn’t have a polarity switch you’re stuck, because you then need to take it to someone who understands electronics so that he/she can make some alteration to the internal wires.
So, I guess it makes sense to stick to a Casio sustain pedal or use a good universal pedal, for your Casio piano keyboard.
If you have a very old keyboard, chances are that it may not have a PEDAL INPUT at all, so you need to check that. And its best to choose the heavier ones, even though they cost more. If you are going to use the pedal often, better choose one that doesn’t slip/slide.
