Introduction
Casio is trying to raise the bar further with its range of digital pianos. It has already achieved good success with its privia range of budget digital pianos. But with the Celviano grand hybrid digital piano, Casio wants to impress the serious piano players as well.
Casio has released the GP-510 and GP-310; Casio says the following improvements have been made:
- Better touch response
- Richer bass sound
- New piano tones with improved clarity
- Better soft pedalling
The Celviano Grand Hybrid range was first introduced in 2015.
Casio CELVIANO Hybrid Digital Pianos
CELVIANO Grand Hybrid pianos combine the advantages of both digital and acoustic pianos, but delivers the performance of a grand piano in tone, keyboard quality and playing response (these pianos are jointly developed by piano maker Bechstein).
The Celviano Grand Hybrid digital piano combines key elements of a grand piano, such as the Natural Grand Hammer Action mechanism that follows the same path as a grand piano, and full-length precision wooden keys – the perfect combination for both new learners and experienced pianists.
The Natural Grand Hammer Action Keyboard uses full-length Austrian spruce keys as used on C. Bechstein grand pianos, and features a vertical hammer mechanism that faithfully simulates grand piano hammer movements. These pianos are equipped with the Casio AiR* Grand Sound Source for beautiful and rich sounds.

Casio Celviano GP series Grand Hybrid pianos combine the advantages of digital and acoustic pianos, but delivers a highly authentic touch and tone, that you get on a grand piano. The piano also produces rich and complex sound that fills a room (just like an acoustic piano).
These elegantly designed instrument come with wooden Keys, and realistic piano sounds. The multi-channel amplification system creates an immersive sound field.
These pianos have been developed in collaboration with German piano manufacturer C. Bechstein (known for their excellent acoustic pianos), and comes equipped with its Natural Grand Hammer Action Keyboard technology.
