You may have seen two performers on one piano, or even two piano performers performing on two different pianos at the same time?
But how about five or six (and even more) piano players playing simultaneously on multiple grand pianos?
Bach-Vivaldi/Concerto for 4 Pianos/MultiPiano Ensemble
Music by Vivaldi, transcription for keyboards by Bach. This is a really nice arrangement of a Bach keyboard transcription of a Vivaldi violin concerto. Watch Vivaldi’s concerto for 4 violins arranged by Bach for 4 Harpsichords (in this case performed on the piano).

- (07:08) 03 Allegro
Do notice that there’s almost half a million dollars worth of pianos on that stage.
5 Browns: Five pianists perform together on five grand pianos
Meet the 5 Browns – Ryan, Melody, Gregory, Deondra and Desirae (all studied at the prestigious Juilliard School in New York). The quintet first came to the limelight in the year 2002 when People magazine dubbed them the “Fab Five”, and around the same time they also featured on “Oprah” and “60 Minutes.”
“One family, five pianos and 50 fingers add up to the biggest classical music sensation in years.…When these kids do Rachmaninoff, they’ll make you forget about Marshall amps,”…The New York Post.
The 5 Browns have now sort of become experts in bringing classical music to a newer, younger audience (the presence of so many pianos on the stage also helps to increase the wow factor).

All Previous Winners of Piano Competition Perform Together
All the seven previous winners of the Dublin International Piano Competition perform on two grand pianos in a once-off performance. Watch 16 hands-on 2 pianos.
Wondering, why they didn’t use all the pianos; there was one for each of them. Well, one good thing when you have at least 16 hands is that there’s always someone to turn the page.
Unique concert with 21 pianos in King’s College Chapel in Cambridge
Young musicians performed a melodious chorus of 21 pianos in a unique concert in King’s College Chapel in Cambridge.
The 21 musicians performed a reworking of Chopin’s original Nocturnes, with the pianos all arranged in a large circle in the centre of the Gothic chapel (celebrated its 500th anniversary in 2015).
The Nocturne of 21 Pianos (each musician on one piano) was part of a collaboration between composer and King’s College fellow in music Richard Causton, the Peterborough Centre for Young Musicians (PCYM), King’s College Musical Society and Millers Music.
All the 21 pianos, worth over 50K pounds were provided by Millers Music, in celebration of its 160-year anniversary. All the pianos, used in the concert, were given away to schools and community groups across East Anglia to support young music students. Full store here.
