Hammond XK-1c: Review
The Hammond XK-1c is one of the most desired gear for any keyboard player in any genre of music.
It includes a wide range of Hammond tones in the factory patch library. There are 64 Factory patches and 64 User-programmable patches available.
The organ gives you extensive customization capabilities, allowing you to replicate any Hammond/Leslie vintage, with all settings stored in each patch.
In addition to the Drawbar Profiles, the sounds of two of the most popular transistor combo organs are included, along with 28 equivalent ranks of Classical Pipe Organ sounds.
Hammond XK1c vs XK3c
Both the keyboard organs have the same Sound Engine, but there are more bells and whistles on XK3c. There are more effects, drawbars, a pitchbend and mod wheel, EQ included in the effects section (not in XK1c), and faster keyboard action on XK3c.
Its also possible to add a lower manual on the Xk3c, but you cannot do that on the Xk1c.

HammonFanatic says
Used to play the B3 in the late 70s (am a true Hammond/Leslie fanatic). Had an original XK-3 with a Leslie 3300. Skipped a generation and bought this, and it just wows. The Leslie engine is stupendous. Make sure you play it in STEREO. Have this paired with my Hammond XK-3C Pro-System, Nord C2D, Nord Stage 88 mixing into a A&H QU 16 or Mix-Wizard 16:4 & Speaker Pairs of QSC K12’s, 10’s & 8’s. Monitor is a Space Station, Roland 550 or 880.
It’s a real Hammond with authentic Hammond sound. The Leslie effect sounds authentic and the Chorus/Vibrato is quite convincing, the preset tones are awesome, the feel is good. And its so light, you can just shove it in a bag and carry it to the gig on your shoulder.
